At Kern Leather, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy sets out your rights and our procedures when returning products purchased from www.kernleather.com.

This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under UK law, including the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights.

1. Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as a UK consumer purchasing from our online store, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason.

The cancellation period begins the day after you (or a person you nominate, other than the carrier) receive the goods. For orders with multiple items delivered on different dates, the 14-day period begins the day after the last item is delivered.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement. You may use any of the following methods:

2. What Happens After Cancellation

Once you notify us of your cancellation within the 14-day cooling-off period, you do not need to return the product. To make your experience as simple as possible, Kern Leather operates a no-return policy — meaning you may keep the item.

We will then offer you one of the following resolutions, depending on the circumstances:

  • A full refund to your original payment method;
  • A replacement item shipped to you at no extra cost; or
  • A store credit (discount code) for the full value of your order, redeemable on a future purchase.

3. Refunds for Cancelled Orders

If a refund is agreed upon, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (if applicable), no later than 14 calendar days from the day you notify us of your cancellation.

If you chose a delivery method more expensive than our standard delivery option, we will only refund the cost of standard delivery.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. No fees will be charged as a result of the refund.

4. Faulty, Damaged, or Misdescribed Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, please contact us at support@kernleather.com with your order number and photographic evidence of the issue.

You do not need to return the item. Depending on the circumstances, we will offer you:

Within 30 Days of Delivery A full refund or a replacement item at no extra cost.

30 Days to 6 Months After Delivery A replacement item or repair solution. If we are unable to resolve the issue, you are entitled to a full refund.

6 Months or More After Delivery A replacement or partial refund, depending on the nature of the fault. At this stage, we may ask you to provide evidence that the fault was present at the time of delivery.

5. Cancellation Exemptions

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to goods that have been made to your personal specifications or clearly personalised. Note: All standard, non-personalised products (shoes, bags, jackets) are fully eligible for cancellation.

6. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size or colour, please contact us at support@kernleather.com with your order number. You do not need to return the original item. We will arrange a replacement to be shipped to you or offer an alternative resolution.

7. Processing Time

Please allow up to 5 business days for us to process your refund after your cancellation request is approved. Refunds may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
